CEEGlobal Agency's Joker gets season 9 renewal in Slovenia
Global Agency announced today that RTV Slovenia continues its success with the hit gameshow Joker, securing the 9th season after another year of strong performance. The show remains one of TVS1’s most stable and popular primetime programs.
Joker is a fun and fast-moving quiz show in which a contestant answers 10 challenging multiple-choice questions to snatch the jackpot at the top of a money tree or slide to the bottom and win nothing. In 2025, Joker achieved a 9.0% average rating (4+), attracting 173.800 viewers per episode and a 23% average share, making it the second most-watched regular show on the channel. Its reach is impressive, with 898.600 unique viewers in 2025 alone—46.9% of the Slovenian population. The show moved to Saturdays at 20.35 (from 20.00) this year but continues to outperform the slot average and major competitors, including high-impact reality shows on commercial channels. In the extended Saturday slot (20.00–21.06), TVS1 recorded an 8.9% rating and 22.5% share, leading all national channels. During peak competition (20.38–21.00), Joker leads with a 6.5% rating and 17.1% share. Across all monitored periods in 2024 and 2025, Joker consistently outperformed national and commercial rivals, proving its strong audience loyalty and competitive edge. The time slot itself performs better with Joker, boosting TVS1’s overall ratings. Joker has been sold to and is successfully airing in countries including Portugal, Slovenia, France, Poland, Croatia, Spain and Andorra, Greece and Cyprus, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. Izzet Pinto, CEO of Global Agency, said: “We are very pleased with the success of Joker after seven years, Joker remains one of the channel’s most successful and resilient programs, cementing its place in Slovenia’s TV landscape. Joker has been sold to and is successfully airing in countries including Portugal, Slovenia, France, Poland, Croatia, Spain and Andorra, Greece and Cyprus, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. This international reach is a testament to the format’s universal appeal and strong concept. We look forward to continuing to build on this success in the coming years.” RELATED
