TOD, the popular streaming platform owned by beIN Media Group serving Turkey and the MENA region, has officially renewed its hit thriller series Beneath the Surface for a highly anticipated second season, distributor Eccho Rights announced.

Produced by LA and Istanbul-based Karga Seven Pictures, the first season captivated audiences with its compelling mix of family drama, a tense murder mystery, and a rich love story — delivering TOD its highest-ever viewing figures upon its 2024 launch.

Returning for the 10-part second season are lead actors Hazal Kaya and Çağlar Ertuğrul, reprising their roles as police officers Cihan and Metin, whose private affairs threaten to undermine their work as front-line murder investigators.

The new season is scripted by Elif Usman and Mehmet İlker Altınay, with acclaimed Turkish director Çagatay Tosun at the helm. Production is underway, with filming kicking off in early June.
