Eccho Rights has picked up the international distribution rights for A Journey to Belong, the brand new daily drama series from Turkey.

The series, produced by Royal Pictures for Kanal D in Turkey, premiered in September under the local title Bizi Birleştiren Hayat, and has been scoring strong ratings for the channel.

The international demand for daily drama series with a premium feel has been growing over the years, and this title perfectly fits the brief,” said Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama, Eccho Rights.

A knock on Mrs. Münevver’s door marks the beginning of life-changing events. Yasemin arrives with her five-year-old sister, Mine, and declares that the child will live there from now on. Münevver, shocked, refuses until she notices a necklace around Mine’s neck and faints. Münevver, who lost her husband and has been estranged from her daughter—Mine’s mother—now faces her granddaughter’s arrival. As old wounds reopen, secrets begin to surface, threatening to tear the family apart. Will Münevver's revelations reunite her family, or destroy it forever?

A Journey to Belong is written by Berrin Tezcan Dağçınar, directed by Ayhan Özdemir and produced by Saner Ayar and Berkin Kaya for Royal Pictures.
