EFAD, European Film Agency Directors association, presented the European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian films at the 73rd Berlinale.

In addition to EFAD, fifteen European ministries of culture, including the Italian Ministry of Culture, and major international film funds participated in the formation of the fund.

The aim of the €1mln fund is to support Ukrainian film workers and encourage international co-productions.

Applications are restricted to film works that are in the development and finalization phase. The first call for applications is open from February 20 and will close on March 17, while the results will be presented during the Festival De Cannes 2023.
