UkrLive disappears from YouTube
 14 Apr 2022
The online video channel of the UkrLive TV net, which belonged to Nestor Shufrych and was the successor of the so-called “Medvedchuk channels”, has disappeared from YouTube. The former YouTube channel of the online publication Mignews, which UkrLive/Pershy Nezalezhny (First Independent) used to broadcast live online and publish videos, has been removed.

In early March, the UkrLive channel (aka the First Independent), which in the early days of the full-scale Russian invasion called for capitulation and actually supported the aggressor, deleted all old videos and became "pro-Ukrainian."

On December 8, 2021, President Volodymyr Zelensky put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against the companies owning the First Independent and UkrLive.

Sanctions for a period of five years were imposed against Mediaholding Novyny LLC , established by employees of Medvedchuk's closed channels, Time Media LLC and Teleprostir LLC. The companies are connected with people's deputies Nestor Shufrych and Taras Kozak.

The channels called the sanctions pressure and "an attempt to suppress any alternative opinion."

In February 2021, the National Security and Defense Council banned the channels under Medvedchuk's influence: 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZiK. Subsequently, a team from the closed channels established a new broadcaster – Pershy Nezalezhny (First Independent). However, for unknown reasons, the First Independent stopped broadcasting on satellite after an hour of broadcasting. In November, Nestor Shufrych bought the UkrLive channel from media manager Vladislav Baginsky for 4 million.
